Jori Bennett is the executive director of ArtPrize, leading the organization in creating contemporary art experiences in Grand Rapids, Michigan each fall. These events alternate between ArtPrize, the international art competition and festival recognized by The Art Newspaper as one of the most-attended public art events in the world, and the Project series, the next evolution of ArtPrize slated to launch in September 2019.

Alvin Hills

Alvin Hills IV (AJ) is the Business Developer for the City of Grand Rapids who has been in public service for 4.5 years. AJ works out of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion with a focus on delivering equitable business opportunities for local suppliers. This speaks to why the Creative Chamber is important work for the City to engage in. The Creative ecosystem must be curated by creative professionals to ensure the infrastructure is effective for current and future creatives to thrive. He graduated in 2011 from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration.

Anna Proulx
Director of Community Engagement
Compass College of Cinematic Arts

Anna Proulx is the Director of Community Engagement for Compass College of Cinematic Arts, connecting film school students to the wider job market and preparing them for their career.  Anna has a long career in both arts administration and higher education. She previously managed the Sundance Institute Documentary Film Program, a $5 million fund that provided grants to International Documentaries that focused on human rights, social justice issues. She further managed two creative labs, both a Story Lab and a Documentary Composing Lab, for the films that were supported through the fund. Anna also oversaw the Filmmaker Lodge during the Sundance Film Festival that programmed the festival panel discussions.
