CEO Summit Series: Part 2

On June 14, 2022, the Grand Rapids Chamber hosted the West Michigan CEO Summit, inviting leaders from area organizations and businesses to come together for a day of networking and learning. Our team also spent the day interviewing top West Michigan leaders. Over the next few weeks, we will be releasing these episodes each weekday at 7am. Joe Chamberlin, CEO, West Michigan Whitecaps CEO Summit Series: Part 2 2

Joe Chamberlin is the CEO of the West Michigan Whitecaps. , except for the player side which is managed by the Whitecaps

In his position, Joe oversees all of the operations for the Whitecaps. While the player side is managed by the Detroit Tigers, Joe has the job of making sure everything else is running correctly for the Whitecaps to play ball. Chamberlin has family ties to the Whitecaps and is excited to wake up every day and work in the world of baseball. Host, Connor Smithee and Chamberlin talk about what goes in to managing a baseball team, including how to his team is overcoming today’s top issues.

 

Mike VanGessel, Founder & CEO, Rockford ConstructionCEO Summit Series: Part 2 4

Mike hasn’t just seen Grand Rapids grow over the past few decades, he’s helped BUILD that growth. He cofounded and built Rockford Construction into one of the largest construction companies in the area. We had a chance to ask him how he’s helping his company overcome top issues, and why he’s proud to be a Grand Rapidian.
