Ribbon cutting to celebrate meeting their fundraising goal for the Hope Grows Here capital campaign to build a healing garden at the Children’s Advocacy Center of Kent county.  They aim to capitalize on the opportunity to utilize nature as a healing tool for the children that they serve.  The outdoors is naturally restorative and therapeutic, and it provides an opportunity for children to work through their treatment process while experiencing the healing benefits of the outdoors.

Company Information:

The Children’s Advocacy Center provides a safe space where children can receive all the services they may need after being sexually abused.  They also go out into the community to empower children and adults to recognize, report and prevent sexual abuse.

Their mission – Assessing and supporting child victims of suspected sexual assault and educating children and the community to prevent such assaults.

All of their services are delivered free of charge to families, thanks to generous support of the community and the guidance of a visionary board of directors.  Services are administered by an expert staff, assisted by on-site law enforcement agents and Children’s Protective Services representatives.
