Create Great Policy: White House/DOS GR Chamber Roundtable
This year, the White House announced several new policies to advance pathways for STEM talent in the United States through international exchange. This included the launch of the U.S. State Department’s Early Career STEM Research Initiative, a program that will create more opportunities for companies across industries to host J1 exchange visitors conducting research in STEM fields for up to five years. Run through BridgeUSA, the State Department is now accepting no-obligation Statements of Interest from potential host companies.
To help employers better understand this program and how it may be utilized, the Grand Rapids Chamber will be holding a roundtable for members on Friday, May 6 from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. for companies to ask questions directly of White House and State Department staff.
Registration closes Monday, May 2, 2022.
Friday, May 6
2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Registration is now closed. If you have questions, please contact Nate Henschel, Director of Government Affairs, at [email protected]
