Meet the Speakers

Kayla Benda (she/her) | COO & Branding Strategist, Oh Hello Branding Group

Kayla Benda (she/her) owns Oh, Hello Paper & Gifts and Courage & Soar, two gift shops in downtown Grand Rapids. Featuring size-inclusive clothing and over 60 local artists and vendors in both spaces, Kayla’s mission is to support crafts-people and the diverse community we live in by creating an inviting space for all people (and pets).

Dana Edwards | Owner & Advisor, Upbeat Financial

Dana is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and an Enrolled Agent. After earning her MBA, Dana began her career in finance in 2015. Over the next two years, she obtained the FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 securities licenses, and Life Insurance licenses in multiple states. In 2019, she became an Enrolled Agent tax professional. In 2021, she completed all requirements to obtain the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation.

Dana splits her time between the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and the West Coast of Michigan. She lives with her husband and their cat, Betty. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, going on neighborhood walks, practicing French, bird watching and cultivating a daily meditation practice.

In 2020, she was the recipient of the Boulder Valley Rotary Club Pacesetter Award and was the leader of their Diversity, Inclusion and Equity Initiative.
