Arise ATHENAs! Join us for our next ATHENA Leadership Forum on Tuesday, June 7 to uplift female voices in our community and support woman leaders through conversations, connections, commerce, and more.
In our journey to empower more women leaders in our community, we’ll be gathering at a woman-led venue, enjoying a meal catered by a woman-owned local business, and hearing from our fierce female guest speaker, Renee Williams, Senior Vice President of Community Development at Huntington Bank. Renee will be speaking on the ATHENA principle of Courageous Acts and sharing a bit about her leadership journey in her talk “Courage Under Fire”.

Renee Williams | Senior Vice President and Regional Community Development Manager, Huntington National Bank
Renee is a seasoned financial services professional with over 28 years of industry experience. In her current role, she leads a multi-state team spanning across eight regions that brings to life Huntington’s commitment to communities and is responsible for regional community and economic development strategy and engagement. Renee also serves as Leader of Huntington’s Michigan Inclusion Council and African American Business Resource Group (Michigan Chapter). She has launched several Huntington small business and mortgage initiatives, over 150 economic empowerment programs and facilitated millions in Affordable Housing-Low Income Housing Tax Credit Financing across the State of Michigan.
In 2020, Renee was recently appointed by Governor Gretchen Whitmer to the Michigan Community Service Commission.
Renee is a Detroit native, residing in Grand Rapids for over 20 years. She is a graduate of Wayne State University and is currently enrolled in Harvard University’s Public Leadership Credential Program.
