Create Great Policy: American Rescue Plan Discussion
Members are invited to discuss the plans for Kent County’s allocated one-time federal funds from the American Rescue Plan with county leaders Administrator Al Vanderberg, Commission Chair Stan Stek, and Commission Minority Vice-Chair Stephen Wooden.
Participants will have the opportunity to hear what’s been planned, what dollars are still available, and share their ideas with the officials who will be making the final decisions on the spending.
How local decision makers use these one-time dollars will have a tremendous impact on our region. This is a once in a hundred-year opportunity to make the best use of multi-generational resources to support the region’s long-term fiscal health and improve quality of life for all. Intentional deployment of these resources has the potential to strengthen the foundation of our vibrant communities, address identified gaps, and support transformational investments.
