Event Policies

Event Registration, Payment & Cancellation Policies

Pre-registration for Grand Rapids Chamber events is required. This allows our staff to plan for materials, room setup and catering. Event registration closes two business days prior to the event date. Limited walk-in registrations are available for most events. Please pre-register to ensure your participation.

Payment Options & Remittance

Most events by the Grand Rapids Chamber include a registration fee as noted on the events registration page. We accept the following payment methods during our online registration process:

  • Credit Cards: We accept American Express, Visa and MasterCard. The correct billing address for the credit card must be provided for the charge to process.
  • Checks: For registrants requiring an invoice to have a check payment processed, please submit a request for registration in writing by email to marketingevents@grandrapids.org.

Payment may be remitted online via the Grand Rapids Chamber website or over the phone by calling (616) 771-0351. Check payment may be remitted to the Grand Rapids Chamber.

Attendance & No-Show Policy

No-Shows are defined as any registrant(s) that do not attend the event they have registered for; and have not canceled their registration. No-Shows forfeit all claims to any reimbursements of payments made to the Grand Rapids Chamber.

Registration Modifications

All modifications to an existing registration must be requested in writing to marketingevents@grandrapids.org.

Transfers

Registration can be transferred to another person if requested in writing by email to marketingevents@grandrapids.org by the original registrant at least two business days prior to the event. Day-of transfers will be accommodated at the Solutions Center. To transfer registration, the day-of attendee must present the name badge of the registered individual.

Cancellations

The cancellation deadline to receive a refund is three business days prior to the event date. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing by email to marketingevents@grandrapids.org by the original registrant. No refunds will be given after the deadline for any reason. Refund requests in the event of an emergency or illness will be reviewed by the Grand Rapids Chamber on an individual basis.

Events and programs may be cancelled or postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. In this case, fees will be refunded; however, the Grand Rapids Chamber will not be responsible for additional costs, charges or expenses, including cancellation/change charges assessed by airlines, hotels and/or travel agencies. The Grand Rapids Chamber is not responsible for weather or travel related problems and will not reimburse registration fees for these issues.

Walk-In Registrations

Walk-in registration is permitted at most Chamber events. Availability is not guaranteed, and entrance is at the discretion of the Grand Rapids Chamber to ensure we can best serve attendees. Payment is required at the door. 

Photos & Recordings

The Grand Rapids Chamber may take photographs or record videos at events for promotional or educational purposes. By registering for an event, you agree to be photographed, included in video footage or otherwise captured for the Grand Rapids Chamber’s promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please contact marketingevents@grandrapids.org, so we may accommodate your request.

Accommodations

The Grand Rapids Chamber is committed to providing access to each of our events. Advance notice is necessary to arrange for some accessibility needs. For accommodation requests, please contact marketingevents@grandrapids.org.
