Ambassadors Council members serve as liaisons between the Chamber and its members by personally visiting and calling their peers. Through their efforts, Ambassadors help fellow members engage in the events, and money-saving opportunities that help them make full use of their membership. They also attend and aid Chamber staff at our various networking and Ribbon Cutting events.
2020 Ambassador of the Year: Brian Justema, Sharpe
The Chamber is proud to recognize Brian Justema of Sharpe as the 2020 Ambassador of the year! “Even during a crazy year Brian never took his eye off his Ambassador responsibilities,” said Mark Allen, Director of Business Services at the Grand Rapids Chamber. “At the beginning of 2020, Brian was a familiar face to members at several of our events and programs as well as ribbon-cutting celebrations. He is always willing to make a connection and an introduction whenever possible living out the Chamber’s core value of fostering belongingness.”
Brian is a sales executive with Land Rover/Jaguar of Grand Rapids, serving the community for the past 10 years. Combining his passion for luxury automobiles and superior customer service, Brian partners with his clients to realize their dream of ownership. In his free time, Brian enjoys downhill skiing, domestic and international travel, wine tasting, and golf. He is also a Certified Tourism Ambassador for the City of Grand Rapids.
Brian says “The Chamber Ambassador Program provides me with the opportunity to be involved with the Greater Grand Rapids business community. Being an ambassador allows me to meet the people growing this city into a vibrant, thriving metropolitan destination.”
Brian is one of the Chamber’s longest-serving Ambassadors. He joined the council in May of 2007 and currently serves as the council’s past chair as well as on the Program Committee for the Michigan Association of Chamber Professionals. Along with attending chamber events and member ribbon-cutting celebrations, Brian volunteered to assist the Chamber in supporting small businesses with grants through the Kent County Small Business Recovery Program.
The Chamber is thankful for Brian and his continued commitment to serve as an Ambassador to support all of our members.
