Ambassadors Committee members serve as liaisons between the Chamber and its members by personally visiting and calling their peers. Through their efforts, Ambassadors help fellow members engage in the events, and money-saving opportunities that help them make full use of their membership. They also attend and aid Chamber staff at our various networking and Ribbon Cutting events.

A Chamber Ambassador since April 2017, Matt has made is a priority of his to connect with the chamber membership to encourage involvement and share how the Chamber can benefit them and their employees. Matt has also committed to getting to know the entire Ambassadors Committee through meeting with each of the Ambassadors individually.
“I am humbled and honored to be selected as the Ambassador of the Year for the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce. I became an Ambassador because I believe in the people and businesses in this community, and feel that it is every individuals’ responsibility to support the person standing next to them. My involvement as an Ambassador gives me that opportunity on a daily basis. I am excited to be an Ambassador and look forward to an amazing 2019.”
Matt’s 2018 Ambassador accomplishments include mentoring new members and new Ambassadors, regular attendance at monthly meetings, conducting Business Outreach calls, attended 20 member ribbon cutting celebrations, attended the Michigan Association of Chamber Professionals annual convention and has stepped in from time-to-time to cover the concierge desk in the Chamber’s work café.
The GRACC Ambassadors Committee is looking for a few individuals to join the ranks of this elite group of volunteers. Ambassadors’ activities directly support the Chamber’s goal of connecting members to resources they can use to grow and succeed.
