With a new year comes new programs at the Chamber, and we are excited to introduce our new Leadership Lesson Breakfast series! Attendees will hear from Leadership Grand Rapids alumni as they share valuable leadership lessons.

We are excited to have three dynamic speakers for the February 27th breakfast:

Introducing the Leadership Lesson Breakfast Series 3J.D. Loeks, President & COO of Studio C

Topic: Solving the Right Problems

J.D. is President and Chief Operating Officer of Studio C, a family-owned entertainment company that provides space for diverse communities to gather around movies, music, dining and events.

Studio C is most known for its Celebration Cinema brand of movei theatres, with 163 screens at 12 locations in west and mid-Michigan. Celebration Cinema theatres have long been a leader in the industry. Since his return to the company, J.D. has converted the entire circuit to digital cinema; introduced Oscar’s Bistro, launched the Independent Film Series and other unique programming; added recliner seating; and focused on expanded food and beverage. Studio C also encompasses ShowSpan, the premier producer of consumer shows in the Midwest.

Introducing the Leadership Lesson Breakfast Series 2 Dr. Anthony Chang, Founder & CEO of BAMF Health

Topic: Basic Physics of Leadership

Dr. Anthony Chang is a passionate and accomplished scientist, educator, and healthcare pioneer whose goal is to revolutionize the treatment of Cancer, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and Cardiovascular diseases. In 2016, Dr. Chang founded Rethink Imaging, now BAMF Health, with a critical mission to save lives by coupling Artificial Intelligence with non-invasive molecular imaging and molecular targeted radiation therapy, Theranostics, for precise early diagnosis and effective treatment.

His research interest is in translating new imaging technology into the clinic, especially on PET. In the capacity of CEO of the biotech company BAMF Health, Dr. Chang focuses on expediting patient access to advanced molecular imaging and Thernaostic technologies, helping to achieve true precision personalized medicine. He is bringing the vision to life through tracer development and commercialization, AI-based imaging analysis methodology, translational studies, application research and education.

Sara Grey Lachman, Attorney at Miller Johnson & Co-Owner and Instructor at Lunar Cycle

Topic: Dropping the “F” Word: Focus. Why We Cling to Chaos & How to Move Towards Clarity

Sara is an entrepreneur and attorney. An experienced real estate litigator and partner at Miller Johnson, Sara is a strong problem solver with a record of success and notable accolades. Those include being named one of the 4 Top Real Estate Litigators in West Michigan by Grand Rapids Magazine, recipient of ATHENA Young Professional Award, and recipient of Top Michigan Women in the Law by Michigan Lawyers Weekly. In addition to her busy legal practice, Sara is also the Co-Founder of LUNAR CYCLE, a revolutionary indoor cycling studio that launched its flagship location in Midtown Grand Rapids this January, and she is the Founder of FiTONIC, the maker of supplements to fuel intermittent fasting, healthy weight loss, improved energy, and youthful skin.

These local leaders will share some of their personal journey, as well as provide tangible takeaways for attendees to incorporate into their own leadership styles. Leadership program alumni, and all individuals considering participating in a Chamber leadership program are encouraged to attend this event. Whether you’re an established community leader or are just beginning your professional journey, there will be something for all to learn at the upcoming Leadership Lesson Breakfast!
