Chamber Spotlight: Joshua Lunger
In honor of Veteran’s Day coming up in November, we would like to highlight Chamber team member Joshua Lunger, who is one of the millions who have made a difference for our country.
Josh served in the U.S. Army from 2005-2008. He was a veteran squad leader of the 82nd Airborne Division, which took him to Iraq for 15 months. He continued Michigan Army National Guard service through 2010.
Josh has been part of the Chamber team since 2011. As Senior Director of Government Affairs, he leads Chamber advocacy efforts surrounding environment, energy, transportation and local government.
Last year, Josh was recognized as one of Grand Rapids Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Recipients. He is passionate about good government and has the ability to analyze complex policy questions from a variety of perspectives and the leadership to advance solutions. Josh has demonstrated the Chamber’s values time and time again in serving our members and the community. He utilizes an inclusive approach to his work and always takes into consideration the broader impact of policy decisions beyond the business community.
Josh is unwavering when it comes to doing the right thing and putting our members and the community first.
Thank you, Josh, for your service, and your continued dedication to furthering the Chamber’s mission!

Josh’s thoughts on Veteran’s Day:
“Veteran’s Day is often one of the few times a year where I intentionally catch up with the guys I served with and other veterans around Grand Rapids. It’s a great opportunity to connect over our shared experiences and service.”
Thank you to all Veterans who have served for our country! Please join us in celebrating a couple of our Veteran-Owned Businesses at the 10th Annual EPIC Awards Gala on October 30. Finalists for the Veteran-Owned Business of the Year are Alliant Enterprises, LLC and Marvin Law Office, PC.
