Fall Fun in Grand Rapids
Autumn lovers, rejoice! The days are getting shorter, the weather is getting cooler, and the leaves are starting to change – which means fall is officially upon us!
When you’re not cozying up inside with hot cider and scary movies, there are plenty of fun activities to help you make the most of what is arguably the best season of the year.
Robinette’s Apple Haus & Winery
Does anything say fall quite like apples and donuts? When you need your fall fix, a trip to Robinette’s Apple Haus & Winery is your one-stop shop! In addition to U-Pick apples, the weekend activities are endless – a 6-acre corn maze, horse-drawn hayrides, a petting zoo, and jumping pillow. After working up an appetite, stop in the shop for pumpkin donuts, fresh cider (100% pure apple), and even wine and hard cider for the adults!
John Ball Zoo – Zoo Goes Boo!
John Ball Zoo takes on a Halloween flair during the weekends of October 18-20 and October 25-27! During “Zoo Goes Boo” weekends, the zoo is full of tricks and treats for children and adults alike! In addition to the wonderful animals, entrance to the park includes entertainment, decorations, costumes and trick-or-tricking throughout the park.
Grand Rapids Downtown Market
During the cooler, rainy days of fall, you can find indoor fun at the Downtown Market! With 20+ indoor market vendors, 2 full-service restaurants and special events, there’s something for everyone. Bring the whole family for pumpkin decorating, food and games during Fall Fun at the Market on Thursday, October 17. Or leave the kids at home and join the Booooozy Halloween Cocktail Party on Friday, October 25, where you’ll learn to make perfect party drinks like the witch’s cauldron!
