Mel Trotter Ministries opened the doors of their new Community Day Center and renovated Food Pantry at 47 Williams Street SW, just behind their Commerce Avenue headquarters. This was all made possible through a fundraising campaign project that reached its goal thanks to the generosity of the citizens and businesses in the Greater Grand Rapids Community.

The Day Center will provide shelter for up to 100 homeless men, women and children at any given time. The Food Pantry’s renovations included increasing the storage space for donated food and adding a refrigerated room for repacking meats, dairy and produce into small portions for individual households.
