Ferris State University dedicated their Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory in the Applied Technology Center on the campus of Grand Rapids Community College.  The first group of students utilizing the lab will graduate from the Molecular Diagnostics program later this year.

The laboratory includes a multi-room space with room-pressure regulatory controls and is broken up into three main parts; a main laboratory space, a cold storage room, and an instrument and imaging room.

The West Michigan Sports Commission broke ground for the development of the Art Van Sports Complex.  Phase I of the construction calls from the completion of eight fields including a championship field, plus a Miracle Field for players with disabilities.

The Art Van Sports Complex is located just North of Grand Rapids on 10 Mile Rd in Rockford; East of the US 131 Expressway.  Phase I is expected to be completed by late summer of 2014 with a full schedule of games in 2015.
