The African Community Center exist to assist African Refugees in continuing their language acquisition skills and other services after the expiration of formal training classes and services offered through the traditional resettlement agencies. Our programs are post resettlement support, NOT to overlap the existing services.

Alliance for Cultural and Ethnic Harmony

The Alliance for Cultural and Ethnic Harmony is dedicated to promoting unity, justice, equal opportunity, ethnic awareness, cross-cultural understanding and appreciation for diversity. Founded in January 1999, ACEH is a nonprofit, nonpartisan grass-roots group of ethnically diverse people from Holland and nearby areas.

The Asian Center

The Asian Center was established in 1994 in order to respond to the needs of culturally sensitive human services among the Asian Americans in West Michigan, as well as in the United States. The Asian Center is designed to be the head office while The Asian Center of West Michigan has been established as a local chapter responding to local needs. Grants have been received both from local and state agencies for it’s operation.

Asian Pacific American News Network

APANN is an outreach news service for the Asian Pacific Americans in West Michigan. News resources are selected from within the various Asian communities, including Asian news from other parts of the country without regard to political viewpoint or ideology.



BL²END Business Leaders Linked To Encourage New Directions

The mission of BL²END, is "to foster an environment of growth and belonging where young professionals of color can connect with each other, develop professionally, and contribute to the local community." BL²END works towards the achievement of its mission, through a combination of three different initiatives: Social Networking, Professional Development, and Community Outreach. BL²END is geared towards (but not limited to) young professionals of color ages 22 to 35 in the Greater Grand Rapids community.

Heart of West Michigan United Way - Project Blueprint

Project Blueprint is an ethnic minority volunteer development program designed to help United Way, its member agencies, and other nonprofit organizations become more inclusive, responsive and reflective of the culturally diverse communities which they serve. West Michigan Filipino-American Association

WMFAA was established in 1993 as a social group with few members; and today, with pride, there are more than 500 active and inactive Filipino-American household members in West Michigan. Our mission is dedicated in maintaining, preserving, cultivating Filipino culture and heritage, and helping others to share the same goals. We will continue to advocate the existence of Filipino-American community in West Michigan, and will serve to instill strong determination for unity and strive self-sufficiency.
