Breaking Ground On Their New School

 The largest group of VIPs in Grand Rapids Christian School history officially broke ground last night on the site for the new Grand Rapids Christian Elementary School, slated to open in the fall of 2010. Equipped with pint-sized shovels, several hundred Grand Rapids Christian elementary school students dug in following a cue from Superintendent Thomas J. DeJonge at tonight's ground breaking ceremony at 1501 Fisk St., SE( see map) the site for the future school. Enhanced programming at this state-of-the-art facility, along with strong inquiry-based and environmental elementary programs, will offer urban and suburban families real choice in Christian education.
