The Tax & Regulatory Affairs Committee reviews issues as they relate to taxes and regulations that increase the cost of doing business. The committee provides analysis and develops positions to create an economic environment that fosters equitable tax burdens for businesses and consumers, while protecting essential government services.
The goal is to promote a simple, fair and efficient business tax system while eliminating burdensome regulations that do not encourage job growth so as to make Michigan the premier place to locate and grow a business. Read the Chamber’s 2015-2016 Legislative Priorities for details.
The committee is comprised of Chamber members who primarily hold accounting, financial or tax responsibilities within their organizations or firms.
