ATHENA Award Program

Kathy Crosby and Shaquanda Gordon honored at this year's ATHENA® Award Celebration

Thank you to all who participated in the 2011 ATHENA Award Celebration!

Our 2011 recipient was Kathy Crosby, President & CEO of Goodwill Industries of Greater Grand Rapids, Inc. and our ATHENA Young Professional Award was presented to Shaquanda Gordon, a Human Resource manager at Meijer, Inc. and adjunct instructor at Davenport University.

A significant component of the ATHENA program each year is the presentation of scholarships to women over 30 who have returned to college to complete degrees. A portion of all sponsorships was allocated to the scholarship fund and this year’s event saw seven women receive scholarships totaling $7,000.
