The Delta Strategy
The Delta Strategy serves as a catalyst for social change by fostering community learning and problem-solving. It works to build a community in which all members and sectors are empowered to participate and effectively create a better future for all. The Delta Strategy convenes Dialogue/Action Groups on specific issues each year—literacy is the current focus. It is one of the world’s largest non-profit providers of education, training and career services for people with disadvantages, such as welfare dependency, homelessness, and lack of education or work experience, as well as those with physical, mental and emotional disabilities. Goodwill Industries of West Michigan provides a broad range of employment and training services for those seeking work or the skills necessary to get work. Leaven Center
The Leaven Center is a retreat and study center committed to nurturing the relationship between spirituality and social justice. We offer education, resources, and hospitality for all who seek to be leavening agents for change -- resisting oppression, engendering hope. The Leaven Center can accommodate 23 people overnight and up to 40 during the day. The ground floors of our facilities are barrier-free.

Public Museum of Grand Rapids
This 41 million dollar world class education/entertainment center offers exhibits that display community treasures and explore the regions natural environment. It includes an operating 1928 carousel and the Chaffee planetarium that is equipped with the latest technology, a digital sound system and multiple video players, with numerous special effects.
