Connections & Professional Development

Multiracial Association of Professionals
The fast track to meaningful connections in West Michigan. MAP offers welcome luncheons for professionals of color new to the area, social events for professionals of all backgrounds, and more.

Emerging Leaders Series
For young and early career professionals, this program combines community connections, leadership skills, and professional development, with a focus on board service training and exposure to local issues.

Intensive Leadership & Community Development

Institute for Healing Racism
A two-day experience that engages people of all backgrounds in facing racism and its impact on individuals, businesses, and our community. Through presentations and exercises, participants will build a shared understanding of racism and discover tools to create an inclusive workplace and community.

Leadership Grand Rapids
A nine-month program for higher level leaders of all styles, backgrounds, and sectors. Participants explore the systems at play in Grand Rapids, enhance their skills through community projects, and empower each other’s leadership journey through discussions, exercises, tours, and expert panels.

Leadership Advantage
An introspective experience for higher level and self-motivated leaders to examine themselves as leaders in their career, at home, and in the community. Participants benefit from neutral space, honest guidance, and insightful tools to evolve their leadership style and strengths.
