CORP! Magazine Recognizes Grand Rapids Chamber as a
Michigan Champion of Diversity
The Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce (GRACC) was given a Champion of Diversity award by Corp! Magazine at the August 31 Salute to Diversity event at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Detroit. Thirty-nine Michigan businesses and organizations were honored for their efforts to promote diversity in a positive way.
“This recognition is particularly meaningful as we continue striving to provide tools and educational programs to help employers understand the social and economic impact of diversity and cultural competency in the workplace,” said Chamber President and CEO Jeanne Englehart.
The Chamber’s diversity programming includes the award-winning Institute for Healing Racism, the Multiracial Association of Professionals (MAP), annual summer welcome reception for minority interns, and customized training modules for area companies.

Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce, Grand Rapids Community Foundation, and the Grand Rapids/Kent County Convention and Visitors Bureau are hosting a very special reception to welcome new employees to our grand community.
This event is intended to help professionals who are new to our area connect with those who already know the joys of being a Grand Rapidian. Our time together will include drinks, light hors d'oeuvres from Tavern on the Square and networking with friends old and new.
