Testimonials

"A worthwhile day to build relationships with other Chamber members and our legislators."

"The Grand Rapids Chamber does a great job of advocating for West Michigan Business and ensuring that our elected officials are aware of the issues we are facing."

"Worthwhile use of one's time to meet legislators, educated oneself on current issues, and get a personal view of our government in action."

"Business Day at the Capitol was such a smooth event. We didn't have to worry about parking, meals etc. We got up close and personal with our legislators and were able to use the great relationship that they have with the Chamber as an institution to raise the visibility of our own individual issues."

"Found the visit interesting. The trip did provide an opportunity to meet members of the GR Chamber as well as a few Lansing people."

"Chamber Day is a great way to make West Michigan visible to administrators and legislators who may not recognize the intense interest we have in good public policy."

"It was an excellent opportunity to hear firsthand from elected officials what they are working on and the outcomes they hope occur from the efforts. Also to hear from appointed individuals about their roles, objectives and targeted outcomes; AG, LARA and Community Health Appropriations; Watching legislative process in action demonstrates why you need close personal relationships with governmental officials to accomplish informed and beneficial change."

"The West Michigan Business Day at the Capitol provided an excellent opportunity to network with other Chamber members as well as engage personally in the democratic governing process. Cheers for the Chamber!"

"It gives us a chance to thank our legislators and let them know we care about what they are doing. I was impressed with the person who spoke for the AG's office and the people in charge of reviewing regulations."

"Thanks for the trip to Lansing (February 21.) We are very happy with our Chamber membership and look forward to maintaining our relationship for years to come. Great job guys." -Ryan Bennett, West Michigan Plumbers, Fitters and Service Trades Local #174
