Inaugural ATHENA Leadership Forum a Success!

Our first forum on November 13, 2012 was sold out and featured this year’s ATHENA Young Professional Recipient, Mindy Ysasi Castañon, speaking on the tenet of relationshipsconnecting with and embracing others and appreciating the gifts and talents of different people in your life.

At this event, we had roundtable discussions led by 2012 ATHENA Nominees: Laura Caprara (Stellafly Social Media), Gayle Davis (Grand Valley State University), Meg Goebel (Paul Goebel Group), and Deidra McClelland (The Skye Group), Beverly Wall (Language International) and Shelly Irwin (WGVU).

ATHENA Award Program

NEW! ATHENA Leadership Forum: Develop, Connect, Build Relationships

We are pleased to announce a new program for supporting, honoring, developing and connecting women leaders in our community. Emerging women leaders are invited to join us for our next lunch on Tuesday, May 14 for the ATHENA Leadership Forum.

The ATHENA Leadership Forum - rooted in the eight tenets of the ATHENA Leadership Model - provides a monthly forum for emerging leaders to connect with established leaders to make meaningful connections with one another through networking, roundtable discussions and professional development opportunities. Emerging women leaders come away from the event equipped with invaluable support, connections and a community of peers.

The fourth session of the ATHENA Leadership Forum is on Tuesday, May 14

Bridget Clark WhitneyThe keynote spearker will be Bridget Clark Whitney, Executive Director at Kids' Food Basket. 

 She will be speaking on "Fierce Advocacy," one of the eight ATHENA tenets. Fierce Advocacy is supporting and acting on your passion for people, causes or ideas, creating an unstoppable force for the greater good.
